If you have 15 minutes
- 10 min: An "All About" fill-in card. Kids answer prompts like "The funniest thing my Mom does is..." and you write it down if they can't yet.
- 10 min: A handprint card. Paint one small hand, press it inside a box and add their age.
- 12 min: A sheet of colored gift tags. One sheet covers every present on the list.
- 15 min: A rolled-up drawing tied with ribbon, with a tag that says who it's for.
- 15 min: A "5 reasons I love you" list, dictated and decorated.
If you have 30 minutes
- 20 min: A coupon book. Kids pick the promises, like "One giant hug, any time".
- 25 min: A painted rock paperweight (paint pens dry fastest).
- 25 min: A bookmark with a doodle border and their name.
- 30 min: A paper frame around a favorite photo, covered in stickers.
- 30 min: A jar of folded notes, one for each day of the week.
If you have a whole hour
- 40 min: A mini storybook starring the person getting the gift.
- 45 min: A salt-dough ornament with a thumbprint (bake while you wrap).
- 45 min: A tote bag decorated with fabric markers.
- 50 min: An illustrated "family recipe" card.
- 55 min: The full kit: fill-in card, coupon book and tags, wrapped together.
Set the timer where kids can see it. Racing the clock turns "I'm bored" into "I can finish!"
